Community Mentorship

Community Mentors help people to recognize areas in their day-to-day lives that they would like to see different and assist in identifying and establishing the task-based goals that would support these changes. Community Mentors work with people to assist in developing and strengthening their independent living skills (ADLs) through collaborative, hands-on, task-based rehabilitation and recovery plans, and they follow up with the motivation that will empower people to make positive changes in their lives.

A Community Mentor’s goal is for participants to have the skills they need to live to their utmost potential within the community and to more successfully avoid crisis.
