Presentation, discussion and practice activities are utilized to build understanding, competence and confidence in the best-practice models, principles and theories that support mental health and recovery.<\/p>\n<p>This Peer Support Specialist Training adheres to the Standards and Principles of Practice \u2028as they are outlined in the following nationally recognized documents:<br \/>\nGuidelines for the Practice and Training of Peer Support\u2028Mental Health Commission of Canada. (2013)<br \/>\nPeer Support Canada \u2013 National Certification Handbook \u2028Peer Support Accreditation and Certification (Canada).
